MSW Clinical Intern
Cassidy Terrell earned her Bachelor of Social Work from North Carolina A&T State University and is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work at Norfolk State University through the Advanced Standing Program. As an MSW Clinical Intern at Thriving Well Holistic Wellness Solutions, Cassidy provides clinical services under supervision while continuing to develop her skills in assessment, therapeutic engagement, and evidence-informed practice.
Cassidy brings a warm, compassionate, and client-centered approach to her work. She values creating a nonjudgmental therapeutic environment where clients feel heard, respected, and supported. Cassidy believes in meeting clients where they are while helping them identify their strengths, navigate challenges, and work toward meaningful and sustainable change. She is particularly interested in working with children and adults and continuing to expand her knowledge of trauma-informed and culturally responsive approaches to mental health and wellness.
Cassidy brings thoughtfulness, strong clinical curiosity, and a natural ability to connect clinical concepts with the individual needs and experiences of clients. Her interpersonal skills include active listening, empathy, curiosity, and relationship-building. Cassidy believes meaningful therapeutic relationships are grounded in respect, collaboration, and an understanding of each person’s unique experiences, strengths, and needs.
Outside of her professional and academic work, Cassidy enjoys shopping, spending time with friends and family, journaling, and watching Netflix. Born in Portsmouth, Virginia, she values meaningful connections with others.
