Connecting Holistic Services and Traditional Talk Therapy to help you Adult Well!

I am a Licensed Psychotherapist, Holistic Practitioner, Clinical Director/ Owner of Thriving Well Holistic Wellness Solutions. I opened my practice to support teens and young adults (20s , 30s, & 40s) gain the skills, confidence, and emotional balance needed to heal the generation and succeed in life. Thriving Well focuses on helping teens and young adults get good at life… commonly referred to as Adult-ing Successfully!

We don’t learn how to connect with our mind, our bodies, or our spiritual in school or at home! Some of us even in our older age, never really figure out this thing called life. This is unfortunate… Because the inability to thrive gets passed down for generations to come.

Listening and supporting people through crisis and helping people reach their personal goals and milestones has been a passion and true calling on my life. As a millennial myself, I bring a unique and diverse skill set to the work of therapy and holistic wellness which can allow you to develop into the person you want to be.

offer individual and group therapy and I infused a holistic twist to include yoga, meditation, Reiki, EMDR, and/or hypnotherapy for teens, Gen Z, and millennials who are struggling with everyday work/life balance, past trauma, and self discovery of who they are.

Since opening my doors, I place a strong emphasis on co-creating an environment where YOU feel safe, supported, and challenged to become the best possible version of yourself.  I am not a nod and smile therapist. I roll up my sleeves with you, and together we come up with solutions to tackle this thing called life. I consider myself to be a down to earth, honest, and laid-back therapist. I also have a great BS detector. I’ll call you on your stuff. I am not here to stroke your ego, but really get down to the bottom of what is keeping you stuck. But isn’t that why you decided to come to therapy?  I also weave laughter and the art of storytelling into every session, hopefully leaving you feeling lighter and more hopeful. Together, we can link the past to the future in order to understand why certain issues keep coming up in your life and how to resolve them for good.

Education and Trainings

Now for the semi-fancy stuff; I received a doctorate in Social Work from Simmons University, a graduate degree in social work from Norfolk State University and dual bachelor degrees from Old Dominion University.

I have taken extensive training in:  Brainspotting (BSP), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Clinical Hypnotherapy (CHt), Trauma Conscious Yoga Method (TCYM), Trauma Focus CBT,  Financial Social Work, and Prepare-Enrich Facilitator which allows me to provide couples counseling. I am also a 500 hour level yoga teacher and Reiki Master.

I am currently participating in several ongoing trauma and holistic trainings. In the words of my colleague Sonia, If you don’t remember anything else remember this ; I love what I do and have taken enough trainings to make sure I am good at it 🙂
